Throughout its history, nothing has made such an impact on
chess design as the introduction of English Staunton chess pieces.
The Staunton set was designed by Nathaniel Cook in 1835, with
the object of preventing confusion during play. The designer used
symbols in their plainest form. You will find in this box nine rubber
moulds, one King, one Queen, one Bishop, one Knight, one Rook
and four Pawns.
The height of the King is approximately 85mm.
